About the Teacher

                                                                                                                               August 25, 2012

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to my Spanish Language Class!

I look forward to working with your child this year. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Cuba and I came to the USA in 2007. Since that date I have lived in Tampa, Florida. I graduated in 2012 from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language.

I will post my grades and any important information on Edline. In addition, I will conference with students who are having difficulty and with their parents/guardians to develop an action plan to help your child succeed in my class. I participate in the ELP program and it helps students succeed in their Spanish courses. I also give students the opportunity to take an alternate test or quiz if he/she should make a D or an F.

For my Spanish classes, students need the following materials:

Notebook: a three ring binder. It is important that these notebooks are not shared with any other class since I collect them. Students will also need 1 paper two-pocket folder, pencils, black or blue pen, markers or crayons, scissors, glue sticks, 1 dry erase marker , a small soft cloth, construction paper, index cards, and a thumb drive. Please note that as the semester progresses your child may need other materials depending on the assigned projects.

If you need to contact me for any reason, you may reach me at:

I look forward to a great year!
